CPO Appointed to Shape Nordic Quantum Development

We are thrilled to welcome Cathal Mahon as Chief Product Officer at QuNorth!

Cathal brings decades of experience at the intersection of quantum technologies, commercialization, and entrepreneurship. His rare combination of deep technical insight and sharp business acumen makes him the ideal CPO to drive QuNorth’s partnerships and use case development as we bring a Level 2 quantum computer into operation in Copenhagen, for the Nordic researchers, startups and large corporates.

With advanced degrees in engineering (PhD) and physics (MSc), complemented by a business diploma from Copenhagen Business School, Cathal truly bridges quantum science and commercial strategy. Since 2016, he has worked hands-on to move quantum technologies from the lab into startups, industry collaborations, and scalable ventures.

Cathal has built and led several teams, developed strong relationships across academia, industry, and international quantum hubs – including serving on the EU Quantum Flagship Innovation Working Group and playing a key role in establishing Deep Tech Lab – Quantum for NATO DIANA. He was instrumental in bringing the Inside Quantum Technology (IQT) Nordics conference to Denmark and has cultivated an extensive global network.
