CTO Appointed to Shape a World Class Quantum Future for Researchers, Startups, and Industry

We are proud to announce Kasra Nowrouzi as Chief Technology Officer at QuNorth.

Kasra joins us with a PhD in Applied Physics, profound expertise in full-stack quantum computing architecture and a track record of turning complex system into high-performing, scalable solutions. As we prepare to deploy and operate our Level 2 quantum computer in Copenhagen, his experience in designing, integrating, and running complete quantum systems will be foundational to our success with Magne, in the Nordics.

Throughout his career, Kasra has led multidisciplinary teams working at the intersection of hardware, control systems, and algorithms - driving true hardware/software co-design. He has not only built quantum platforms at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory but also operated them in collaborative research environments, continuously translating experimental insight into technical upgrades and architectural improvements.

His experience spans the entire stack - from quantum control systems and electronics to system-level architecture and use cases - supported by a strong network across both open-source and commercial developer communities. This breadth of expertise ensures that QuNorth’s platform will be robust, adaptable, and built for long-term impact.
